Getting Here and Starting Your Session:

My home office is accessible by car, bike, or bus (serviced by the 719 and 722 buses in Pitt Meadows). My office and driveway are wheelchair accessible. Street parking is available in front of my house or surrounding the park across the street.

Two play parks are within very short distances from my office, offering good spaces for transition play, unwinding, or some one on one special time play with your other children while we are in session.

My home office is located in close proximity to Osprey Village, which includes Stomping Grounds Cafe, Pitt Meadows Art Gallery, and the Shoreline Park (with it's beautiful forest-river walk). Whether your child is in session, or you want some space to process and integrate your therapy, these amenities are conveniently located for you to access and enjoy.

When you arrive no more than five minutes before your session time start, come on up and knock on the front door. There are places to sit outside as well as a bench inside if you need to wait for any reason. There is a floor to ceiling curtain separating the office from the rest of the home space, but the bathroom is available to you and is through the curtain and in the hallway to the right.

The first session will always have time dedicated to going over informed consent, and completing an intake interview.

For children, this process is completed with the parent(s)/guardian, without the child in attendance.

01.
In an NSST child therapy session, I create a safe, trusting environment where children can explore and express their emotions through play, storytelling, and other creative activities.
The session helps children regulate their nervous system, process emotions, and build resilience.
I work with both the child and caregivers to foster emotional growth and understanding, integrating neuroscience to support the child’s emotional well-being and development.
This approach focuses on safety, emotional expression, self regulation, and building healthy relational patterns.

Sessions last 50 minutes.
$150 per session

We knock on the door, we go into Katie's house, take off our shoes, and head through the rainbow doors into the special playroom. There are lots of toys there for you to see and play with. When you are done playing with Katie and having your counselling time with her, I will be right there to pick you up and celebrate you.
02.
In an NSST parent consultation session, I work closely with parents to provide additional insights into their child’s emotional and neurobiological needs. The session focuses on helping parents understand how to create a sense of safety and trust in their child’s daily life.
Understanding your child's nervous system and the response to stress and emotions is essential.
I collaborate with you to explore practical strategies to support emotional regulation and resilience at home.
If self reflection is a wanted option, I can also guide parents in understanding their own emotional responses and how they influence the parent-child relationship. Together, we discuss ways to foster healthy communication and emotional connection, ensuring the child feels understood and supported both in and out of therapy.
This collaborative approach strengthens the parent-child bond while promoting overall emotional well-being and positive development.

An NSST adult/individual therapy session is a transformative experience grounded in neuroscience and the Satir model. Using play, metaphor, and sand tray techniques, clients explore their inner world, uncovering implicit memories and emotions that are difficult to express with words.
This approach helps shift clients from a state of stress to one of safety, fostering deep emotional resolutions. With my guidance, clients reconnect with their authentic selves, addressing trauma or life challenges in a supportive, playful, and engaging environment.
Sessions last 50 minutes.
$150 per session
E-transfer preferred, CC available through Square

Knock on the door. I will greet you and invite you in to the space, asking you to take care of yourself and do anything you need to feel comfortable for the next 50 minutes. When you are ready, we sit around the sand tray and begin with some short grounding tasks so as to fully arrive to the work. From there, we let the figurines and the sandtray do the work your brain and heart need them to, staying in the metaphor to safely explore your inner world.
